IMHO, the status of these petitions might not have been updated online, even though they might be approved. How many are willing to bet their last dollar that the online status is truly accurate for petitions almost 3 years old? Maybe those petitions are really pending, but you never know unless somebody can confirm that personally.

yes

also how do we know this guys have left the process for various reasons. many of them wouldnot be around or approved and not updated. ;)
even if it is not approved this guys should get of their asses and start calling:rolleyes:

jllag,

>but you never know unless somebody can confirm that personally

We do have a very old petitioner in our midst. I believe "takeanumber" applied his I-485 in 10/2000 and hasn't gotten an approval.

Saw this article about "interpreting" the TSC Processing Times ...

09/26/2003: Mystery of Processing Times Report

- We often encounter callers who express anger over alleged mistreatment of his/her case by the Service Centers. Typically, they argue that according to the Service Center processing times report, they are processing "certain date" of cases but the caller filed their cases much earlier. Usually, such callers misunderstand that the processing and adjudication of cases at the Service Centers are produced in a matter of production beltline in the manufacturing plant. The following explanation of one Service Center should help the immigrant community to understand the reality of the work process within the Service Center buildings: "Some Officers are working on dates that are ahead of published times, but not every officer is working on same date. SC must report the oldest dates of each type of application being worked so even if they are working ahead, it may not be reflected by the current processing time list if there is even one case from the older date pending." When the SC adjudicates older cases to reduce the backlog in the processing times report, they have to keep adjudicating cases which they had received in much later dates because the SC cannot let new ones fall further behind.

- The foregoing should answer the common mystery why the later cases of other colleagues receive decision earlier than his or her's. People should understand the limit of the Processing Times Reports of the Service Centers when it comes to understanding of waiting time for a specific individual case. Again, it is not a beltline in an automated production process in a manufacturing facility.

They tried hard

They tried hard to increase the number of days, but the case status system refused to accept 4 digits.....

next best thing move the date until the "whinny" computer system can be fixed..................:D

Hello:

What is the source of the above processing time report?
I coulcn't find it on the websites of several lawyers. Please let us know.

Gkhan.

Why I can't i believe Mystery of Processing Times Report

That's a perfect valid argument. But with TSC, no theory can be given.

How come the range of approvals varies more 18 months. How can they approve Oct '02 cases when they process Jan '01.

If the report came from TSC, then they need a very serious help and of course we are too........

I see that there is no separate processing time for concurrent i-140/i-485 filers for AP and EAD.

Does that mean concurrent and non-concurrent filers are being processed at the same time and the dates are accurate. And not a omission.

Thanks:confused:

Bajis,

Thanks for sharing the mistery of processing time reports with us.

According to TSC processing time report, they should be processing the cases of EAD as of Date of Aug 15. My ND for EAD renewal is Aug 11. Is this normal as the mistery of processing time reports explain the situation? If does, why do we need the processing time report since it is not accurate?

Thanks:confused:

funnygc,

>If does, why do we need the processing time report since it is not accurate?

Good point! I guess it is realsed to give us the "ballpark" date they're processing the petitions. I guess you can expect your eAD to be approved within a week. Good luck.
