Good news, all the buzz about 2nd FP notice being a good sign came true for me. As you can see from the dates in my signature that I was stuck in name check.
Thank you everyone for cheering me on. I hope to continue the tradition.
The oath date is for 9th Jan 2008, a little over 2 years after I applied.
I am glad I did not waste money and time on lawyers, FOIA(or whatever its called) and letters to "I dont give a $#%@" people in high positions.
I pray for all the people who are still stuck in this horrible situation.

PS- I am not sure how accurate the posts about FP expiring every 13 or so month are. Remember the people answering the phone (at officer/2nd level) are usually trainee officers. They seem to make a blanket assumption that it is the case for all applicants.
