Did your case get updated online or AVM? And do you know what time they updated this, or atleast when you noticed it?

Finally received the RFE notice today for Employement letter and status from Dec 2001 (filed my I-485 in dec 2001).

I haven't talked to my attorney yet.Do you think I need to submit the paystubs since Dec 2001? Any inputs please ?

Think of something else

if you have paystubs for the full period that would be the best choice to prove the status - but incase you have had to change employment or do not have stubs for a month or two, I think your attorney will have to come up with some creative idea to prove your status for the full period starting your I-485.

Anyone here with any ideas of how to prove the status without the paystubs???

Some former employers will confirm that you were an employee at their corporation for the specified date and that you received $x as your salary (mine does). It doesn't hurt to find out if they will cooperate. Employers keep a file for all employees, and you have the right to access it. I do not know hot it applies once you leave the company. But these are good questions for your lawyer.

To prove your status since the time I-485 was filed, there are two best options to avoid submitting all paystubs. One is to provide employer letter of all the employees since I-485 was filed or provide W-2's for yr. 2001 & 2002 with a letter stating that you worked for those companies during the said period. Submitting each and every paystub is not practicaly feasible. W-2 should pretty much cover the entire year paystubs. It's the same.

Why is paystub or W2 required to prove the status?

I thought all you need to show is either EAD since 485 or validity
of H1 since 485 filing. That's also to prove work status. And if you
provide them with employment letter that proves you have a prospective employment for approval.
