 today finished a nearly 5+ year wait for GC.

EB3/CSC (non RIR)
Application sent to lawyer: Nov 96
LC applied: Mar 97
LC approved: May 99
Company bought over: July 99
I-40 applied (successor of interest): Nov 99
I-140 approved: Dec 2000
I-485 applied: Feb 2001 ( waiting for PD to become current)
I-485 approved: Jan 2002
Passport Stamped: Jan 2002

Hopefully should get plastic card in a couple without any further problems..

Am from San Jose
Went at 2:45 am... (very cold/raining..). There were around 30 people in front of me.
[Actually even around 4 shud be fine]

They started taking people in around 7
(No food/drink/scissors etc...)
Got a token by 7:30.
Was called at @8:30

Submitted the foll:
1) approval notice ( courtesy copy )
2) passport
3) I-94
4) 2 ADIT photos (Name and A# on back)
5) EAD
6) AP

Signed and finger printed I-89 2 times ( front and back )
Wrote my A number on the I-89
Got the stamp in 5 min. no questions.

Told would get card in 6-10 months, allowed to travel, need to renew after 1 year, etc....

Out by 9:00

Everything was smooth, except the cold... specially today... when the mountains are covered in snow...
Took some heating strips ( called \'somethinggrabber\' )from OSH (camping aisle) very usefull.. costs $1 for 2. You can place those inyour pockets.

Youcan get tea/sandwiches at @ 5 am from the mobile vendor.

Parking: very few spots in the front... at 2:45 just 1 slot was vacant
Otherwise have to park inthe back...

What did your AVM say before I485 approval ??
