Hi all,

As per AVM my case is approved on May 22nd.

Case details:
CSC - EB3 INDIA - PD 09/17/97
I485 RD - 09/15/99
     ND - 09/17/99
     FP - 11/04/00
     RFE - 01/21/01 replied on 02/19/01 and INS acknowledged on 03/11/01
     AD - 05/22/01 (as per AVM)

I am happy that the long wait is over finally. I guess INS is processing all the backloged case. Wish you all get the approvals soon and special thanks to Ciba.

This is really great news. I\'m glad to see INS moving on cases with RFEs.
I have a few questions: 1) what was your RFE for? 2) did you hear the receipt notice of RFE on the AVM or was it a return receipt by the Post office to you?
I\'m feeling more hopeful now...

Hi KingA,

1) RFE - W2 and letter from the employer that continue to offer full time job.

2)I did hear the receipt notice of RFE on te AVM. Then my lawyer received the RFE and it was in blue color notice and I gave W2 for three years and letter from the employer to my lawyer. He has replied to INS with the original receipt. I also checked the AVM.

After you replied with w2 and employment letter, did AVM get updated again? My RFE asked to send in 2 new photos. I mailed them on 5/4 and AVM hasn\'t changed the original message yet. So, I\'m trying to get an idea of approximately when INS will update the message.

You mention that RFE was replied on 2/19 and INS acknowledged 3/11. Did AVM say on 3/11 that INS received RFE response or did you get the return receipt on 3/11

Yes the AVM said it received my RFE on 03/11. Since my lawyer replied to the RFE he would have got the return receipt also. But I am not sure about that.

I-485 Approved.
Hi all, After reading so many approvals today, I checked the AVM.
It says my (& my wife\'s) 485 is approved on 5/23/2001.
My details below.
PD: 05/99 (EB2-RIR-India)
ND: 11/15/00
AP: 02/25/01
FP: 03/08/01
EAD: 03/10/01
AP: 05/23/01

I called IIO on 05/17/01. She talked nicely. She told me that they
received my FP on 4/23/01 without asking for my A#. This made
me beleive in FP theory. She told that it will take any time with in
90 days from the FP received date to assign to an officer.
