I got approval emails yesterday for me and my spouse that on may 20th it was approved.

Currently started 9th yr H1 B extension
Affected by retrogression both for labor and 485
missed 90 day pilot program
went through the 2 year horrible journey of unpredicatable name check


Applied first gc in 2000 and labor got approved and 140 was about to approve. Moved to another company
Applied second gc in 2002 Jan(PD).
Labor AD may 2004
140/485 ND july 2004
My name check cleared same month. spouse(primary applicant) name check pending
did fp in 2004 and biometrics in 2005
140 approved in april 2005
Did several fbi and uscis enquiries from 2004 - 2006
Only one reply in 2004 from fbi that spouse NC is pending
whenever I did usics enquiries lud used to change saying that name check pending or visa number unavaliable.
In feb/06 one uscis enquiry. NC pending
In april/06 abother enquiry. spouse lud and no reply
lawyers and our enquiries to fbi. No response
contacted local congress person last year. no help
contacted senator this year in feb. no response.
pressing the lawyers to follow up uscis.
The prediction from lawyers is since it has been almost 2 years since applied 485 and all conditions are cleared and just NC is pending, then uscis would have sent to fbi serious enquiry about NC status of spouse.
I am not sure exactly what triggered.
recent LUDs are 05/02/06. got RFE on may 3rd.
After lot of pain, instabilities in the job and unpredicatableness about name check
485 approved in may 2006 after 2 EADs and APs. We got the third ones recently

Initially 140 was applied in EB2. Then later lawyers sent an EB3 amendment thinking eb3 might be the best option. but 140 got approved thru eb2.
In the rfe they asked to withdraw the amendment since it is unused.
I think basically they are checking the status of ther person with the company.
May be in other cases they might ask foir recent pay stubs.

Cograts!!!!!! Did you get any recent LUDs right before approval?
 
Cala before approval I got the lud as may 2nd, 2006
Message was same.

I believe the cards will be mailed in 1 - 2 weeks after the AD.

Do I have to get I - 551 stamp in the passport too?

No need for stamp if you have card.

It feels good to hear your approval. Congrats. Our journey is very similar to yours. This is our second try at GC and we are still waiting.
