It's been a long wait. 8 years spot on with my current company waiting for my green card approval. To make matters worse after the early dotcom/telecom layoffs all company wide cases were withdrawn/cancelled in 2003. We had to re-apply afresh in 2004. The frustration of being given a new priority date only added to the seemingly endless wait.

Anyway, was vacationing with the family in Florida and got to check my email from our hotel lobby for a few minutes. I was surprised to see emails from CRIS - even though I'd been checking a few times a day before leaving - I guess never really expected to actually see the emails from them. The approvals made up for the long wait and really added to the joy of the vacation. However, a vacation is not really a vacation with 3 children :-(.

Thanks to everyone on this forum, just wanted to share. Got 2 sets of Card Production emails for both myself and my wife. One on Jan 30, and the second set on Feb 03. The Registration Approval emails came on Jan 31.

I am very happy for you. Where you filed your I-140 and I-485, Nebraska or Texas? Also, I am confused how is your I-485 approved if your PD is not current for yet ( now is May, 2005). I have PD for I-140 May, 2006 and when I called USCIS they told me that my PD is not current yet.
I am also EB3.

Hi. Thanks for your wishes. I am from Pakistan and my signature gives some details on my case: EB3 ROW (Rest of the World), Texas Center with a Priority date of 2/24/2004. They are currently processing all EB3 ROW cases with priority dates of 5/01/2005 or earlier, so I am within that qualifier.
