Finally Graduated From GC Academy

Congratulations!! Welcome to the Club. I am pretty sure you will get your card in this week. My spouse got the card today, I am hoping to get it tomorrow or day after tomorrow, in case they are separated in mail sorting. Also got our Welcome Notices. No LUD or E-mails so far. It looks like, same officer approved our GC and never updated the status online....who cares as long as we get our cards :D
 
Thanks!! Please post a message when you get your cards. Yes, I hope to receive mine this week too :) yeah, looks like we have the same officer who is a non LUD person -- doesn't bother updating the case online. Welcome notice is the same as approval notice too?

I am not 100% sure but I think Approval Notice is different and usually it goes to attorney if you have one on your file (you may get a copy though). I haven't received one yet...let's see. I will keep you updated. You do the same please. Thx.
 
Got Welcome notice....

I got my welcome notice today. No card yet. The letter mentions that I sould get the card within 15 days (but it is a standard notice). Hope to get my card in the next couple of days.....

BTW, the welcome notice looks like the approval notice to me. Good to know if someone can clarify if there is a seperate approval notice.

get_gc04, btw your handle looks familiar and when I looked at my previous posts, we were posting messages one after another during labor certification time some 4 years back too :) And they got CSC->NSC around the same time. That way our apps travelled together the entire path....

It took me exact one week to get our cards. Hopefully you will get it by this friday.

Hey..USCIS won't let us enjoy at once...so they are sending the things slowly on our way.....once I get everything then only I can feel/enjoy my so called freedom :D

Thanks poofyForGC. My Online Status still says "Case Transferred to NSC and Pending there"......let's see when I see any change in online status and get my card. I am wondering how my Spouse got the card within 5 days of approval and rest of us in the same file are still waiting. Don't they print the cards at the same time for Primary & Derivatives?

I only got paper "Welcome Notice" by post. My spouse got Card & paper Welcome Notice Both on the same day. My kid got only paper Welcome Notice no card yet. Spouse & Kid got ONLY e-mail "Approval Notice Sent", I didn't even get any of the e-mail.

Go Figure, How USCIS works :D

I think, close to two weeks, plus or minus few days. You can search my posts, I think I posted it the same day I got the info.

:D:D I just received the cards for Myself and the Kid...... My Online Status is still "Case Transferred....." :D :D NO Paper Approval Notices for Anyone Yet.

Thanks Jack144. I am pretty sure you will get your card soon if not today. Keep me posted. I will be around in the forums since I am so addicted to these forums :D in last 5+ years. I wish I was in Bay Area to go to party with you:D :D ...anyway....drink one for me too and cheers :D :D

Hey you are talking about welcome notice? I didn't receive anything like that. All i received is approval notice. I hope both are same. My approval notice is like standard, notice which i got for my approved I 140 or H1. Did you get same or something diff?

Yes, I got the Notice which says NOTICE TYPE: Welcome Notice
It says something like "Welcome to the United States , your Application I-485 has been approved etc. etc.

I am pretty sure that Approval Notice is different and "NOTICE TYPE: Approval Notice" should be there. Have you received that?
