Hey Everyone,

After years of waiting, I finally got the temporary stamp in my RTD this morning. The officer who stamped my RTD was very nice and cute! She said that I will get my card within a month. Since I traveled out of country many times, she asked me a couple questions about that. Everything was done within 20 minutes.

Just would like to take this opportunity to thank you guys for your valuable advice and support over the years. Good luck to those that are still waiting. It's quite a liberating feeling not worry about this anymore.

Thank goodness not all asylees have to go though the additional interview at the time of the adjustment. But some are singled out for reasons unknown to me and have to go through additional wait and interview at the local office.

Gino...Congratulations!

I have a question: you say you had interview in November 2005.
Does that mean you had a second interview in the local office when you got the stamp? I have a relative of mine whose case was recently transfered to a local office.

Thanks

Juxhin

Congratulations.....

Congratulations Gino...... I am so happy for you..... both of us were asked to submit similar docs in our RFEs...... I was so panicked...... but felt ok that I am not the only one with such a RFE once I saw that you are also in the similar boat a little ahead of me .......U were one of those guys.... who gave me such a courage ..... that I went through ...... Dear Gino:

Congratulations.

Do not forget us who are still waiting!!

Congratulations Jino Enjoy your new freedom.
I hope they will approve all 1999,2000,2001 cases soon. And End our this misarable time. My ND is Jan 2001 and didn't get any decision yet. Today i went to local Congresswoman office and request a Inquiry about my file.

Gino how long you had to wait from Congresswoman office to USCIS get updated information about your case?
God bless everyone.

Thanks a lot everyone, your words mean a lot! I will continue coming to the forum regularly, and will provide any advice/help I can.

Singh6, I'm glad I was able to provide some support, and thanks a lot of your kind words.

To answer some questions some of you had, I had to go the second time, after my interview, to fill out form I89, which is used to order green card. Somehow they did not ask me to go for biometics, they took my fingerprints and photos in the local office instead.

After I contacted the Congresswoman, I heard from the local office within a month.

You do need a visa. Go to the embassy website, they have all the requirements for visa there. Everything is done through mail, no interview.

Good luck,

Visitors visa denied (pls read and comment) I need help!!!

Hello Everyone,
I have a question and would really appreciate any guide given to me.
I entered the U.S seven years ago as a visitor on a B1/B2 visa. I over stayed and later got married to my wife and with that process my status changed and I became a permanent resident.
last year my wife asked for a divorce because she claimed she was tired of the marriage. I gave her the divorce and moved on with my life.
Now I want to re-marry again and I invited my parents over for the wedding which is in May 2006. I lost my only brother last month and I felt that attending my wedding would be a good change of environment for my parents since the demise of my younger brother.

The had all the documents needed but the consular office denied them visa last friday because " she claimed that when I travelled with a visitors visa I never returned 7 years ago and because of that she would deny my parents a visa? I need your coments, what do you think I can do and has this happened to anyone, if so how did you resolve it?
I feel they were treated wrongly, she never gave them a chance, she just denied it and stamped "rejected" on their passports.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
