Well, finally after taking the Oath became the USC today in Chicago. No more pinching question from IO's on the airports, right to vote, freedom to live abroad for extended periods, and right to apply for Federal jobs are some of the benefits I love to have. At times it seemed a dream so far away, but today it felt really great. All in all it took 7 months. Waiting after the interview was really testing... had to wait four months after the interview while lots of people were getting their oaths notices in couple of weeks after the interview if not the same day, and there I was waiting for mine every single day for 4 months.. Elections came and passed, New Year came, January passed, and finally in Feb I got the Oath notice... Well in a way it was not so bad when I saw many people waiting lot longer than me... And it all turned out well in the end..

And, Good luck to all who have applied, waiting or yet to apply in coming days, months and years to come. This site is so help and informative, I don't how I'm going to keep myself away and not read all the posts from different people in different situations..
Keep up the good work guys... And let's keep supporting each other...
