sgavini-

congratulations. by the way, does your approval notice tell you when to show up for stamping? is it something that you can just show up to the USCIS office as a walk-in?

I know I have a long way to go before my I-485 is approved but I was just curious. Thanks in advance.

Japanese & waitingformyGC

Hi Japanese.,

Got Approval Notice on Saturday, It didn't mention any date/time. It says, I can go any time between 7:00AM to 2:00PM @Local INS Office Monday through Thursday. I am planning to attend on coming Thursday. They asked me to bring Approval Notice and 2 ADIT Photos as we all did for EAD/AP/485 Application submission & Passport. But I am planning to take any/all available doc's like W2's, Pay stubs...etc. Will let you know once Stamping Completed.

WaitingformyGC.,

I am not sure what kind of Details you are looking at, But here is my Details. Joined in Company A in March'01 on H1B, Company A Merged With Company B in July'01. Survived with Big Layoff. Applied 140(As I mention Luckily I got Substitute LC) in Oct'01 got approved in Dec'01. Applied 485 In 28th Jan'02 Comany B Outsourced Our Division to Comany C in Jan'03. Company C waited for 2Months to notify BCIS(That Time Attorney Thought I will Get approval in a Year with NSC...:D ) Poor Guy Realized after 2M. and then Notify Change of Job to BCIS in end of Mar'03. something like I got in to this job with Same roles and responsibilities as my previous Job. He Never Mention about Job Role any where.

Others.,

Thanks and Best of Luck. Hope BCIS Will improve their Process soon. You all will Get approved Soon.

Any Questions let me know...
Thanks

sgavini,

Did company C supply you with an employment verification letter mentioning about same job title and responsibility? What about your salary? Is it also mentioned and is it similar to what you used to have?

Thanks for the info.

Good morning, sgavini -

Thanks for your prompt response.
Again, given that my RD is 1/6/03, I have such a long way to go before approval. However, I would really appreciate if you could post what kind of document(s) you took to the stamping.

By the way, since I will most likely be going to the Chicago Office, I would also appreciate if you can share your experience at Chicago USCIS Office.

Got Stamped @ Chicago INS This Morning...

Hi Japanese.,

I know You might be looking for My Experience of Stamping. I went through the Security Check, Went to the Second floor. Waited in the line about 40Min to get the Token #. Got the Token # and waiting for My # to Show up on Monitor for about 7 to 8 Min. Mean time I observe that there are Four Monitors,
Screen A for Information/Questions
Screen B for Applications (Which I was waiting for)
Screen C Replaced Cards
Screen E ADjedicators (There is no D, Of Course We will never know INS Pattern)

After 8Min. Wait I got my #, Took all available Doc's, Certificates, Pay stubs and W2 forms along with Curtesy Copy, Passport with I-94 and Two ADIT Photos, Previous EAD Cards. Officer is an Afrecian American Lady, Nice and asked for Approval Notice and EAD Cards. She asked about Photo ID(License/State ID) Which I don't have, Show her the Violation Ticket. Asked Couple of Questions Like SSN/Mother's Maidin Name/Mother name/Father Name...etc. Then She Asked me to Go to another Window and wait for her. Waited Couple of Min. then She Came there and asked me to Sign on a Document( two times ) took the finger print. And then Stamped Passport and Said if I don't Recieve Card in 5days before the Expiration, Have to go for Next Stamping. Thats It.

Any Questions Feel Free to ask.

Kilaru.,

Thanks Man. Your Name sounds like familiar to me. Did we met in Boston. if so Send me an email at kggoofy@yahoo.com.

Again Thanks to Rupnet/Rajiv S Kanna for their Websites, Even though I am a Silent Visitor Most of the Times, Helps me to find the things before I bother Some one in this forum.

Best of Luck all.

sgavini

Thanks a lot for your information. It looks
the officer didn't ask all documents you have prepared. But I would to know, if you don't mind, what kind of violation ticket she asked, is it traffic ticket? , as I know those kind tickets
will not be the problems for i485 application.

thanks again

Thank you for getting back to me, sgavini!

sgavini -

Congratulations on officially becoming a LPR! I hope my turn would come soon, and I really appreciate your valuable tip.

I do have a question for you. You mentioned...

"After 8Min. Wait I got my #, Took all available Doc's, Certificates, Pay stubs and W2 forms along with Curtesy Copy, Passport with I-94 and Two ADIT Photos, Previous EAD Cards"

Could you please tell me the types of available documents you took to Chicago USCIS Office besides pay stubs, W2 forms, passport with I-94, two ADIT photos, and previous EAD cards? I assume of one of those documents would be your birth certificate.

Thank you and again, congratulations!

urch & Japanese

Urch.,

Yes!. It is a Minor Accident happened last month, Still I am waiting for my License. When She Asked about License I show her this Ticket and she started Asking about my mothers maidin name,ssn...etc. Yes it shouldn't be any problem for the minor Trafic violations until unless DUI.

Japanese.,

I took with me all cerificates and documents...etc. Along with Birth Certificate and Affidavit provided by my parents And Marriage Ceritificate... other than above mentioned doc's i didn't think any of other documents, I am little bit over confident that I have every thing, but I might Miss some which i don't know.

Again Best of luck guys your time will come soon.

Thanks again!
