Finally Approved!!!

I am very glad to share that my 485 has finally been approved. I got an email just a couple of minutes ago.

Its been a long journey for me..starting in 1999..multiple labors, 21/1 years wait for Name Check, wait even after the RFE response was sent..so on and so forth.

But finally all is well that ends well!!! So am quite happy that this journey has ended for me (wife is still waiting for her RFE notice from USCIS).

You all have been my steady friends all throgh this journey and without who this whole thing would have been without any hope. I wish you all the very best..may you all get your approvals soon.

Congratulations oldtimers. I feel your happyness. :) Was you case transfered to TSC ?

Congrats Supply_demand !!!

I am really happy to hear about your case. Believe me my instinct said you are in line too after I heard from alonglonwait4gc. As far as my case is concerned, It has been just 30 days since there was an LUD. Do you think I can hope for something even after this retrogression?

I am sure you will get your approvals soon. wait till you complete 60 days and be sure to call VSC.

I spoke to an lady officer yesterday and today the case was approved. Dont know if this was a coincidence but I would urge you to call VSC after 60 days (if you dont get approved before that -- you might surely get approved before that) so you get immediately in their queue.

Congratulations! I told u. Call and enforce them to approve your case. Looks like they wanna talk to us, b4 give an approval. Hehehehe.
Seventeen days has gone, since they received my RFE response. Should I call them tomorrow to see if I `ll get approval this week?
 
I would say you can call

jhawilla -- you can call and ask them if your application is on track. But dont push it too hard to get information if the person who gets the phone is an officer and not a regular CSR. good luck

Congrats! Enjoy the Green. Did you do anything to expedite name check. My case is stuck in name check for over 18 months.

I think your name check will come through. On an average I saw that it took 2 years (24 months) to get through Name Check. These days it might come much faster.

I would send mail to the first lady, send emails and mails to FBI, contact congressman, senators office (they both have liasons into USCIS/FBI office).

Thanks for your reply. I have contacted Congressman but they gave standard answer. I will try other options suggested by you.
 
Try multiple things

only a few of your attempts will work. So try multiple things. DOnt restrict to one. If your congressman is not giving you information then try contact a different congressman's office. Try senator's office also apart from the regular mails to the first Lady, ombudsman and FBI.
