Finally I got approved today at Miami district office.

Interview was very quick, 10 minutes just to verify that information on I-485 is correct.

I asked IO about NP renewal. She told me that since I PR I can renew my passport and travel back home. She told me that asylee can't do it, but PR can. She carefully checked my passport's pages, stamped it and told me to wait plastic by mail.

Please clarify

I understood thata USCIS made again an appointment to give you your approval?? Why you received an approval at the office??
When do you applied for asylum??
Sorry thios questions, I'm just trying to figure out if my case is rolling well, because I applied 6 months ago and....nothing yet!!

thank you all for support during time I wait for Green Card.

I got many valueable advices from this forum which helped me to go over all procedures of adjustment os status without a lawyer and saved me thouands of $$$.

Don't worry, you are OK. Just take a chill pill :-)

I applied for GC sept' 02.

My case was a little bit complicated that's why I had an interview. Anyway, CIS randomly or "not randomly" selects some cases of AOS for an interview. Just DON'T travel to home country.

This forum is the best. Stick with it and you're going to be OK.

Congrats Accountant. By the way what was in your approval mail ? Was it card has been mailed or just like me case has been approved & if 14 days......................?

Congratulation! Finally you got approved too my friend. I remember how impatient you were to get it.

I didn't get anything from CIS exept stamp in the NP, even LUD didn't changed. IO told me to wait a couple of weeks for plastic.
