Finally we are approved. We recieved emails last night (May 11th, 2005) saying our 485s are approved. It was more a relief than joy.
485 ND was Dec 2003 EB2. (our PD was Jan 2002)
FPs done in Nov 2004.
Had a problem with our applications being placed in EB3 stack instead of EB2 category.
Called in April and the nice lady at VSC said they will move it to EB2 category.
Initiated a query through my lawyer around the same time. Got a response that just said "pending service consideration".
And yesterday, we got the approval emails.

That has given me more hope.
I was under your shoes exactly with EB3 instead of EB2. Upon calling couple of times, now mine "should hopefully" be in EB2 stack. The VSC rep told me that she has made a strong notation that mine should get picked up in 2 weeks.
I am praying and hoping I get the magic emails from VSC. Been waiting from 2000 to get done with my GC process.

Good luck. There is a good chance that yours might be approved once it is in EB2 stack, provided everything else (like security checks) is in place.

VSC rep told all my security checks are complete and good to go....I don't want to put full faith on VSC rep and then get disappointed. But I am quite optimistic about it though.....

Same here. Initiated expedite request to move my case from EB3 to EB2 couple of days ago. Will see how soon i will hear from them.
 
I am in the same situation. I called them a couple of weeks ago and was told "visa not available". Obviously, they mistakenly put my case in the EB3 stack. The agent said she would notify her supervisor.

I am still waiting.

Do I need to call them again? or should I just wait?

I tried calling again but without much success. The rep who picked up didn't give any info and asked to check status online.
