congratulations!!!
I am waiting for mi 485 be approved. but I have question.
I read in your post. "masters future employment GC".
that means that it is just the OFFER of employment what is valid at the time your 485 is approved??? or you have to be actually working for that company??
I would appretiate your answer

india-usa,

I believe when india-usa indicated EB2, masters, he meant his petition was EB2 category, which requires the applicant to possess master's degree or work experience that would be equivalent to this.

Your I-485 application is based on your approved I-140. Your GC is being processed based on the assumption that you are being hired on a permanent basis for your sponsoring employer.

This means, yes, you would have to work for your employer, even if your EAD allows you to work other jobs on the side. Of course, if your I-485 is being pending for more than 180 days, you can invoke AC21 by having your new employer or immigration lawyer send USCIS a letter indicating this. But then, you would have to work in "same or similar" field as the occupation for which you are being sposonred GC.

Congrats friend, I recall I started my forum life by posting on 140 thread about the same time as you. My 485 ND is also in Oct 02 pretty close to yours. This gives me a little hope ......

Enjoy your freedom ......
