Hi..

Just an hour ago got 4 e-mails about our 485 approvals, today is Sathya Sai Baba's Birthday, we just came back from the Bhajans, checked the e-mails, wala there they were...

Details of the process:

140/485 AD: 02/11/2003
ND: 03/07/2003
FP1: 05/15/2003
140 AD: 01/06/2004
FP2: 09/01/2004
RFE: 10/15/2004 (Employment letter for me, medicals for my spouse)
Sent a Fax enquiring abou the status 4 days ago.
485 AD: 11/23/2004 :)

Iam very happy to say that my case was approved. Here are the details.

Labor filed: 01/18/2002 (EB2, BS+ 5 years exp)
Approved: 04/18/2002

I-140 Filed: 05/02/2002 (EB2)
ND: 05/03/2002
RFE sent by INS: 04/16/2003 (Ability to pay)
Received RFE: 04/22/2003
Responded to RFE: 04/24/2003
I-140 Approved: 05/01/2003

I-485 Filed: August 9, 2002 (Concurent, while I-140 is pending)
RD: 08/09/2002
ND: 08/20/2002
FP1: 09/04/2002
FP2: 09/24/2004 (Dover, DE)
Lud Change: 10/04/04, 10/05/04, 10/19/04 (no change in the message. same old FP1 message.)

Big Surprise: on 10/19/2004, INS/USCIS has approved My I-140 for the second time and sent me another approval notice. As my I-140 was approved one and half year back, I thought it was an I-485 approval. I contacted INS customer service about this. The lady said, they are correct and approved I-140 by error for the second time. So waiting for I-485 approval anxiously as they picked my file.

RFE: 11/02/2004 (Original EVL, Last 6 months pay stubs, 2003 W2 and tax return). I never changed the company since I filed my GC

11/08/2004: Received RFE
11/09/2004: Sent responce to RFE by Fedex
11/10/2004: Received RFE by INS/USCIS
LUD Change on the same day: 11/10/2004 (message changed to received RFE)
Lud Changes there after: 11/11/2004, 11/19/2004, 11/22/2004

Approved Date: 11/23/2004 at 3: 30 pm I got 4 emails from INS about mine and my wife's approval.

My Attorney is Rajiv S. Khanna. Beleive me, this law firm is so fast in responding to everything. For example look at my RFE dates in I-140 and I-485. It took only 24 hours in each time to respond to RFE. I never saw any law firm responding so quickly. Moreover they are always very friendly, cooperative. Simply saying ''Jitne bhi Tharif kare utnehi kam".

So Guys, I wish everybody good luck and will have their own day. Never loose confidence or patience. I passed lot of tension satges, where it took 20 months (yes 20 months) to get my first EAD and travel document.
