Finally I got online e-mail with approval for my I-485 petition(Employment based) on Dec 1, 2004. My wife and children have also received online e-mail approvals. Retrospectively, it has been quite some wait for me and my family (3 years and 5 months) from start to finish. But I guess, it was worth the wait.
I would especially want to thank Immigrationportal.com and its entire members for being there and sharing their valuable experiences.
