More than 800 days of long wait.

03/05 FP1 (10 fprnts)
06/05 AC21, free format letter, sent by myself. Job is almost the same with higher sallary
09/05 1st Lud appeared (fingerprints done)
02/06 PD current
03/06, 05/06, 07/06 status requests, got "pending because of background check"
07/06 Lettet to Senator, in a month got mail from FBI, "case is pending because of security check" NC was initiated in December 2004
09/06 Letter to DHS requesting expedite processing. Got "denied" in a month.
09/06 Infopass appointment, "pending because of security check"
10/06 FP2 (10 fprnts)
12/06 Another fax to Senator. No reply.
12/06 Infopass. Was told nothing but "case is pending"
12/06 Letter to CIS Ombudsman, in the letter I mentioned that my next step will be filing a WOM
01/20/07 Got mail from Ombudsman:" you will get report on your case status from VSC within 45 dyas"

After that I started preparation a WOM

01/30/07. Magic emails "Approval notice sent", for both me and my wife. Over.

Got 3 EAD.

congrats. obelix, I am at the ombudsman stage now (as per your chronology)-- got the letter that USCIS should respond in 45 days. Today marks 2 years since the filing of my I-485.
