The "approval" email arrived few minutes ago.
I want to thank everyone on this forum for their great support and advise. I learned about letters to the first lady from this forum and I know that had I not written letters to officials in Washington about my 5 years pending name check, my case would still be pending on this day.
I also want to encourage all those who are current - do not seat back and relax!! I did not!! I called three weeks ago to my congressman immigration liaison and I told her what the situation was, and I raised a concern that if the new bulletin comes out and I'll become U or Retrogressed again, my case will remain pending for many more months/years, and I asked them to help me investigating why I am Current and there is no progress.
Do you self a favor - do not seat and wait! Be proactive as much as you can! It won't hurt you.
