Final approval, how do I get it!

I have a hardship waiver filed in 2003, DOS favourable recommendation in 2004 and COS to H1-B done subsequently. But it has been more than a year since the DOS approval notice and multiple status inquiries and letters to USCIS without the final approval coming through. How should I get this final approval? :confused: :confused:
 
what do you mean by DOS approval notice? do you mean the favorable recommendation or do you mean the approval notice from INS (USCIS)? If the latter, then that's your waiver.
 
The favourable recommendation is by DOS (June 2004), no final approvals from USCIS yet. I have used congressman & senator's offices; seems like they have given up too because they are not returning my calls any more. I am not sure what infopass is though. I thought the case for a hardship waiver would still be at the VSC, so any benefit going to local INS office?
 
I actually checked and there is no infopass appointments available for my location. The irony is that we have done a COS to H1B in the interim (9 mths ago), with the hope that USCIS will attach the final approval to it as requested. The H1 was approved but the waiver final approval was not sent. So any thoughts on how to get this final notice?
