I am in the process of filing a petition for H-1B. I have a question regarding the “Begin Date” in Section D of the LCA form.
I would like to begin employment on Oct 1/2007 since the cap has been reached already for this year. But I am unable to fill in this date in this field, an error message states that “THE BEGIN DATE CANNOT BE MORE THAN 6 MONTHS FROM TODAY”. Does this mean I cannot submit a request until April 1st 2007? We wanted to submit the LCA early so that we can submit the H1B application for April 1st since H-1B petitions are sensitive to a cap.
