Fillable form correction

As we were filing the forms with my husband we noticed a bug in the script for the form G325. I just figured I would post it in case other people didn't notice.
the site that I was given by a member of this forum is:
http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=195431

it's a very good site but when you check the box for "this form is submitted in connection to application for" in my case it was "status as permanent resident". The first page was checked correctly but if you go to the other copies it changed that option to "Naturalization". So I just left that one blank and just checked on each box of each page by hand.

hope this helps

I noticed that, too. What I did to avoid the mistake, I printed one page at a time after checking the right box on that page.

The form G-325a is fillable at the USCIS website if you want a correct one.
Good luck,
Only the first page of G-325A on USCIS website is fillable. In other words, it does not copy the data to the next 3 pages.

Really? I never had that problem.
It was fine some time ago. Then they "updated" it, and it became non-fillable. Now we have only one fillable page: I guess another "update" took place.

Anahit i am using 7.0 Professional and it worked fine for me.
May be there is a bug in 6.0 Professional.

You mean G-325A from USCIS website does copy the info from the first page to the pages 2,3,4?

Yes it does i downloaded the form from USCIS.gov and filled the first page and remaning pages filled automatically and also the one you reported about the checkbox not getting filled properly is working fine for me.

When did you download the form? Can you open the G-325A on the website now, and see if it works? In order for it to copy the data from the first page to the other pages, the pdf should have the same fields on all the pages. When I open the pdf file, it doesn't even show the fields on 2-4 pages.
The checkbox problem was in the G-325A pdf file from www.visapro.com, not from www.uscis.gov.

Hi Anahit,
Sorry about the late reply.

Yes i downloaded the form from USCIS.gov 5 days back and also i downloaded just now to test it and all the pages have the same fields and it copied in to all fileds if i fill the 1 page.

Then it must be the program. I'll try to get newer version. I just couldn't imagine that being an updated version issue. But, I guess it is.
Thank you!

Guess what?
At home, where I have Acrobat Reader 7 version (which does not even allow to save the completed document), I am able to complete the first page, and see the data copied to the rest of the pages. So, it looks like there is a bug in Acrobat 6.0 Professional.

Anahit yes the Acrobat Reader 7 does not allow you to save the PDF Documents not only this any documents but Acrobat 7.0 Professional will allow you to save the files

My point was that the copying feature works in Acrobat Reader 7.

I installed a patch for Adobe Acrobat 6.0 professional (now it's 6.0.3 verson).
That fixed the problem. :)
