Filing unemployment post GC, spouse case pending

Hi,
I got an EB based GC in July 2007. Spouse's case is still stuck in retrogression.

Will MY filing for unemployment benefits cause any trouble for her case?

To be specific will there be questions on my ability to support her so that she does not become public charge. (She is not working and dependent on me.)

If there's going to be a problem, it's because you're not working, not because you're collecting UI. UI's there for a reason, and you (or your employer) have contributed. Good luck in your job search.

Does the fact that it is 11 months since getting GC mitigate the fact that I am not working?
