Filing two PERMS at same time

Hi,

I want to file a PERM thru current employer
and another one as future employee for another company.If i do this way, if one can do lay offs i dont need to worry about green card.
Will there be a problem if i file two PERMS at same time. Can we file for green card two times at same times thru different employers
