My mom (PR) helped me to file I-130 last year in my home country. The receipt number's already received.
Now, I'm in the US holding a B2 visa. I want to find a job and stay in the US while waiting for the GC.

1. Is it ok to filing the I-485 to adjust my status and stay in the US wait for the GC?

2. Besides the I-485, I-693 (medical test), any other forms need to be sent to the USCIS?

Please help!

you can't' adjust status because your priority date is not current. Your mother filed I-130 for you last year, correct? I am assuming that you are an adult over 21, unmarried. The wait (for most people, depending on their country of birth) till your PD is current is 8+ years. If you are under 21 and unmarried, the wait is about 5 years. Until then you will not be able to file for adjustment of status. You will have to leave the States before your status expires.
