Filing taxes

Hello, everybody!

My husband, US citizen, and I were supposed to file the documents for the green card back in October of 2010. But due to some financial difficulties, we have decided to postpone it.
I am currently out of status, but under 180 days. My I-94 expired in August of 2010.
I have worked as an H-1 B visa worker from August 2009 until June 2010 and would like to file my taxes.
Will the fact that I am out of status impact my tax filing?
What should I say if they ask me about my status?
Thank you in advance for your time.

Real Canadian,
Just one more question.
My passport has expired and I can't renew it here in the States. I have to go back to my homecountry and right now is not possible due to my being out of status.
Will that be a problem when I have to go for my biometrics? Will they accept other forms of ID such as my foreign driver license? I don't use it to drive here in the States, just as a form of identification.
Thank you again.
