Filing questions for I-485/I-765

Hi,

I'm preparing documents for applying to GC. My husband is US citizen. I originally arrived in J2 visa then applyed and got EAD. I used to have a small card, but this card is lost now.
I also had A# on that card.

Then I've changed my status to H1 which I'm currently on. I'd like to apply to EAD again because my H1 will expire soon.

My questions:
1) Should I mention the original A# on I-485 and on all other forms that ask for it?
2) Since my card is lost, what should I submit within I-765 as a proof of my previously approved EAD? Should I also submit a copy of my current H1 visa?

Thanks in advance!

Yes mention your A# as it may help expidite your case, do oyu have an NOA from your previous EAD? If yes submit that.

You should submit a copy of Visa

whoa.. hold on here...
If you got an A# with your J2 application, it is only a file number and has nothing to do with immigration.

You are on H1 now, that means you are no longer on your J visa and cannot use the whatever work authorization permit or EAD associated with it, and in order to apply for a EAD, you need to file it with I-485 or have a pending I-485.

Is this a family based I-485?
