Filing N-400 form

Hi All,

My wife and I are completing 5 years as Permanent Residents in USA next week. I have the following questions:
1. We arrived in USA together on 19 May 2002. However the dates on our Green Cards are different - mine is 18th May and my wife's 16 May 2002. While filling the N-400 form, do we fill in the dates of the GCs or the date of our arrival as noted by the Immigration Officer on our passports (when he gave us one year temporary permit).
2. My wife has been moving in and out of California whereas I stayed in California. She came back to California in April (after a lengthy stay in Washington state - baby-sitting the grandchild). The 3-month continuous stay in the state is to be counted at the time of filing or at the time of interview? If she files now, will her application be rejected as her latest stay is only for 6 weeks? She stayed in California continuously for nearly 3 years.
4. Finally the N-400 forms are to be printed single-sided or double-sided?

I hope that someone will respond to these queries. I tried the USCIS help telephone, but they only dish out standard pre-recorded messages.

Thanks in advance

- Krishna

1. Use the "Resident Since" dates on your respective green cards

2. It's not "3 month continuous stay." The requirement is that you have to be a resident of the state for atleast the previous 3 months. If you maintain an apartment, have a home, drivers licence, etc in a state, you're a resident of that state. Temporary absences from your home do not break residency.

3. (4) Single-sided.
