Hi! i am filing I485 at the end of this month. I have everything ready, but i am not sure whether i have to send some following documents as ORIGINAL or PHOTOCOPIED;

1. BIRTH CERTIFICATES and TRANSLATION- ORIGINAL??? or PHOTOCOPY???
2. Employment letter

And, one more thing...i had already submitted forms DS 230 and 122 to KCC in april. Now DO i have to SEND THEM AGAIN TO USCIS while filing I 485???? i HAVE heard that KCC will automatically forward them to USICS...is that correct????

any help will be highly appreciated ......

never send originals of your important documents like birth certificates, naturalization certificates, marriage certificates, school or university diplomas, etc.

You should send originals of translations and employment letter.

Did you mark on your DSP-122 that you are doing AOS?

thank you Lucky Mo..

and, what about the receipt of DV fee payment??? shall i send the original too??
yes! i had mentioned that i was goint for AOS "BCIS" in the DS forms sent to KCC

I'd send a copy...

You do not need to resubmit DS-230 or DSP-122, since those are Department of State forms and have nothing to do with USCIS.

Thanks Lucky MO agian, u r so sweet....

one more thing, Do we have to submit forms I 864 affidavit of support and all the tax returns forms and current bank statement while filing I 485??
i actually dun have those tax returns forms...

And, how about form I 134 Affidavit of support, as i am showing no sponsors.
In this case, is it really important to present Tax files and Bank statements right now while filing I 485.
I was planning to present them only during the time of interview.

any ideas??

if an adjudicating officer asks you for one, you'll bring it to him. I'ts best to have it in advance, but it's not required, especially since you speak English. Are you educated? what status are you in right now? if you have american work experience/education, you won't need a sponsor (99% of the time).

No, you are not required to present tax files or bank statements when you are submitting I-485.

Hey Lucky Mo...

thank u very much for your quick replies...u really took me out of lot of confusions ....really appreciated...

thanks again
