Hi,
I used pre-approved labor which was approved in early 2000.
I filed for I-140 on Feb'2004 and I-485 on second week of March.
I did not know the WAC number of I-140 at the time when my I-485 application was sent. So there was no mention of it in my I-485 application.
USCIS received my application on 11th March.
Till now I haven't heard back from USCIS.
They haven't cashed the cheques till now also.
Don't know what should I do ?
Should I call them to know the status. Will this help ?

Check it out how other concurrent fillers did ... in this fourm.......

let me paste the link for you.....

here is it...

http://boards.immigration.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=40

check the concurrent fourm....

but before you check here I like you to understand somthing..... the fourm ppll just share their cases and exp ... keep this thing lightly..... not as certified procedure.... so be relax...... and don't panic....... if u finds somthing else that don't match ur things ... I I suggest that talk to ur attoreny...... and if there is lot of way to correct things in proper manner

and if u need peace in mind..... talk to ur attorney

Good Luck

Hi, Just wanted to inform that my cheques got cashed last friday.
I haven't got receipts though.
So they did figure out the respective I-140 application by themselves.
But receipt date shows 2 weeks delay than actual receipt date.
BCIS received application on 04/11/04 and actual receipt date in status shows 04/25/04.
Same had happend in my I-140 application.
Any reason why this happens ?

----- I-485 must be filed with I-140 filing receipt because I-485 is based on I-140 OR your lawyer could have filed I-140 AND I-485 at same time (concurrent filing)
USCIS received my application on 11th March.
Till now I haven't heard back from USCIS.
----- USCIS don’t have base for I-485 attached( I-140 filing receipt copy) go to your lawyer. How could he file I-485 without I-140 filing receipt?

*** I think they will send back the I-485 or will ask for eligibility, go to your lawyer who filed I-485 without I-140 filing receipt copy

hey ginnu,
My cheques did get cashed as I wrote in my previous posting.
So BCIS did figured out the I-140 application for my (orphaned) I-485 application by themselves.
And all cheques have WAC number in the back.
