Filing H-1 to GC, Need Help.

Hello Everyone,

My wife is currently on H-1 and she has done her Bachelors from home country. Her employer informed us for filing EB3. Can anyone tell me what is EB3? What is the procedure for filing GC from H-1 and how long does it takes to get GC?
Please guide me with the procedure as I dont want to end up in something which takes very long time.

Any help will be appreciated.

----------- employer has to file LC if LC gets approved then Employer has to file I-140 and then I-485
Please guide me with the procedure as I dont want to end up in something which takes very long time.
------------------ It seems to me you are from India. Punjabi Mundya if the Employer files LC now in EB3 then it will take 5-7 years to get GC. Many who got LC approved and I-140 approved in EB3 could not file I-485 (last step) because PD for India are not current and cut off date is April 2001(I am not sure) Check the Visa Bulletin

Hope sometime senate passses some bill and make all labor application current and priority dates for filing I-485 to 2007?
