Filing GC from a different State

What are the implications if you file your GC from a State/region,which is different from the place where you work.
Is it ok to file your GC from a different place.(considering the fact that you might be employed with a company in that area, but have never resided in the State/region)
Are the chances of the Labour application getting rejected or getting RFEs on it high in such a case.

Chances are same for both. You might face problem with INS during 140 stage. Proper documentation and good attorney are key to success in cases like you have mentioned.

Thanks unsycus for the reply!!!
I have only about year and a half left on my H1 now.
Would it be a right to file from a different State and take the risk of Labour rejection??
Or should I file from my current State,to be on the safe side.
I know it all depends on the Lawyer.
But I have to take the decision carefully...If I apply now and then if labour gets rejected, then you cannot re-apply for another 6 months....in which case I cannot apply,as I would have less than 365 days for H1 expiry
