Have you received public assistance in the United States from any source, including the United States government or any
state, county, city or municipality (other than emergency medical treatment), or are you likely to receive public assistance in
the future?

Yes or No?

We had just changed to L1 status from B2 and my wife applied for Medical Assistance for her pregnancy (and her and the baby received it). Should I be saying Yes or No to the above question.

Thanks in Advance

I've never been in this situation, but if I had to guess... I think the key words for you in the question are "other than emergency medical treatment". I believe that if a woman applies for medical care AFTER she gets pregnant, it's an emergency measure (in some states they even file such care under "Emergency Medicaid"). So I think you can answer "No".

Remember - I'm not a lawyer, this is only my opinion.
