To all gurus,
I am about to file I-140 based on approved labor on EB2,
At this time and situation is CP at chennai faster or filing AOS(I-485) is faster to get a green card.

We are looking at a time line of 1 year or so in your case.

If you are confident about your paperwork, the continuity of the support from your GC sponsor, in my opinion CP would still be the faster way to get the
GC in your hand . On the other hand if you would like to make use of the
AC21 and EAD then AOS will be the choice.

So, CP would be your choice if you are very comfortable where you are and continue with the sponsor for the foreseeable future.

Thanks,
I thought I-140 EB2(advanced degree) approval at VSC is currently 8 to 10 months and another 8 to 10 months for interview at chennai .
Am I calculating the times wrong.

We can only estimate the time it takes, but you could be right! I provided 6 months for the I-140 and another 6 to 8 months for the CP process.
