Filing EAD, i130 & i485 in different location

Hi,
I live in phoenix with my wife (US citizen), planning to file my EAD, i130 & i485 in phoenix, but unfortunately it is taking forver to get EAD(about 120 days) & interview ( about 27 months) in Phoenix , so I'm thinking of filing from my In LAws place(bufflo,NY), my wife moved to phoenix about over year before, so I think she can still file for me in Buffalo,NY, we will be ultimately moving back to Buffalo after few years.

Pls let me know I'm missing anything or any suggestions.

not sure what kind of residence restrictions we need to follow for applying GC

you need to file in the office having jurisdiction over your place of residence (that would be Phoenix). Actually, the new instructions have come out whereas residents of quite a few states have to mail their applications to a mailbox in Chicago. All of them. Read the instructions for I-485 very carefully.
