Filing 485. Wife on F1. Need some advise

My wife is on F1 visa and I am hoping the dates will move soon and we will be able to file 485. I would like to know if

>she can file 485 by being in F1 ?
>Once she files being in F1, can she still continue to be on F1 and travel in and out of US on F1?
>What will be her status when she starts using EAD if she filed being in F1?

Sure. It might not a bad idea to ensure that her I-485 filing is more than 60-90 days after her last entry using her F-1 visa.

I have followup questions to your answers.
1)What will be her status as soon as she files 485 ? I understand an H1 holder can mainitain h1 status after s/he files 485. Does the same apply to F1 ?
2)Assuming that she files 485, EAD & AP and travels abroad on vacation before getting AP or EAD. What are her options of travelling back if AP is approved while in abroad , if AP is not approved while she is abroad ?
