Filing 485 and CP simultaneously.... Please help

My wife and I have two separate I-140\'s approved. I could be laid off in couple of months. Can I file I-485 on mine and go for CP on my wife\'s I-140 ? Will this cause any problem? Should we abandon my I140 ? If one gets approved what\'s a good time to withdraw the other application ? PLEASE HELP!!

I think one of my friend did the same way. He applied for 485 & after couple of

months his wife\'s 140 got approved, went for CP & they got the cards. so it is possible to do it. I\'m not sure when to pull 485.

What if you go for CP and it gets rejected. Wouldn\'t they cancel your visa. A suggestion: why don\'t you see if the following is feasible - both applying for your individual 485s, with each getting EADs from the other\'s application and then maybe withdrawing one application later.
