Files N-400, now worried about previous changes of address

Hello everyone,

I just filed my N-400 and now I'm worried about a certain fact.

We entered the US several years ago on a diversity visa. In the initial application (the one we sent to Kentucky and confirmed at our interview) we wrote down the address of our friend who also signed an affidavit of support for us. However, we later changed our mind and ended up in another state - we never visited our friend. Another friend met us in that another state and we stayed at his house for a week or so. After that we got an apartment.

The problem is that we never filed a change of address with the USCIS for the first two places - a "move" from our first friend's address to our second friend's address and from our second friend's address to our first apartment. It certainly wasn't intentional - we didn't even know we had to do that.
However, when we moved from our first apartment to another I promptly filed change of address with the USCIS.

Recently I noticed that a willful failure to file change of address can be a misdemeanor. It's scary, except that it wasn't "willful" on our side.

I did mention all addresses where we physically lived in the last 5 years on my N-400 though.

Should I be worried about a possible denial and even a misdemeanor charge for the failure to file change of address?

Thanks.

Recently I noticed that a willful failure to file change of address can be a misdemeanor.

That is rarely enforced, and the only times I know of it being enforced is when the individual still didn't report their latest change of address, and they were being charged with other crimes.

So file the AR-11 to report your latest address change (if you haven't already don so), and don't worry about it.

Change Of Address

As you have changed address, You need to file AR-11 & you can find the instructions online & apply online. If you need any clarification You can call National Customer Service Center or Call 800-375-5283.

Thank you everybody.
The USCIS does have my current address on file because I reported the change 4 years ago.
