Is there anybody else who has filed their I-140 and I-485 concurrently and does not have even the I-140 approved yet?
I got an I-485 RFE for my work experience - which is theoretically related to I-140.
If anybody else is in the same boat, please respond. Am I worrying unncessarily or is that a cause of concern?

gc_patience have patience. INS have lots of back log. Try to understand they have to complete 2004 cases and start 2005. So once all 2004 cases are approved then they will go back to 2003 pending cases and finish them off and change the processing date directly from September 2003 to December 2004. This will show thier high level of efficiency.
So just have patience.........
BTW your's is December 2003 and EB3, mine is September 2003 and EB2 concurrent. Imagine what I am going through................

But I haven't received any RFE. Maybe they mis-placed my file!?

BTW, tjshah is right. The guy has been waiting longer than we have been. And he filed under EB2!!!

I-140 LUD is 01/13/2004
I-485 LUD is 02/25/2005 (Because of 2nd AP)

Mine is Sept 23, 2003, EB2 and concurrent as well. So I imagine I would echo tj_shah's comments and advice you to be patient. Do keep us informed of the proceedings.

hopeofgc, I contacted the local congressman first. He is not very co-operative. I could not believe the response I got from his office. They said my I-140 is not being processed because my priority date is not current. I was like what the heck !!!..PD has nothing to do with I-140, it matters only for I-485..Correct ?.

I sent a letter to the local senator 2 weeks ago. I received an acknowledgement. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

it seems the stupid officer who got sep cases is not working properly. Man..we should hunt this fellow.

yes , you are right. It seems some officers they open only one case per month. If the application gets to these kind of officers then we are gone.

I am also in same boat. My application got to some bad officer.
