File I-485 or I-130 first? Or both concurrently?

Hello. I am a foreign national in the US on H1B (approved). Got married to a US citizen; need to adjust status. Instructions for I-485 state:

If you are filing under one of the following... * Spouse, parent.... of a US citizen with an approved or concurrently filed Form I-300

So, I CAN file 1-300 and I-485 at the same time? If so, is that a good idea?

If I can, in form I-485, there is no option to check "Filed I-300". There is an option a - "An immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant number has been approved."

What should I do?
Thanks!

Thanks.

Is there a good reason not to file both forms concurrently? (Besides the fact that we'll need to come up with $1,010 now?)

Other than having to pay all the fees at once, or not wanting the interview to take place on a date close to the filing date, I don't think there is a good reason not to apply concurrently.

hi .....i came here in 2006 ....i graduated with mba degree in 2008. i was in H1 through some consulting comoany but had no job.. now my employer has terminated my H1 and i am out of status. But my boyfriend is a US citizen and am planning to get married to him soon. But the problem we both live in different location within the same state because of the job. He handled his family business and i have been working in cash at my freinds store at diff.location. So, i was wondering if i could file I-485 with diff. physical address from my husband's address. Your response is highly appreciated......

I am citizen and Dad wants to be GC. I want to file i-130 for immigrant visa overseas. Can I file i-485 concurrently? Can someone talk about CP process?
