File H1B and I140 ??

Hi,

I have got a new job and the new employer said that he will file my I140 with labor substitution. I am on H1 with my current employer.... So when i transfer my H1B, can I file my H1 transfer and I140 together??

Sure, you can

As per my knowledge you can file I-140 even before H-1 since the two have no link whatsoever. Remember, GC is always for a future job and H-1 is for the current job.

Change Employers on H1 AND keep labor going

Is it possible to keep your labor certification going with current employer but join another employer for, say 1 year, and then coming back to first employer when labor is cleared?
