My 485 RD and ND are in Aug 00. I have done fp in Nov 00. I want to check whether INS received my FP approvals. When I try to check the status of my case, I am hearing automated message as \'the file cannot be found at this time. Try later\'. I am hearing the same thing for last two months. What it means ? Do they lost my file ? I already had enough problems. I don\'t need some more. Any one has this problem ? I appreciate your input. Thanks in advance - srn

I am in the same boat. I did call the FBI though and they said the FP results were sent.

Since you got your FP letter, I don\'t think you need to get worried. My wife filed her I-485 in Aug, 1999 and she was getting the same message till the middle of this month. But just for peace of mind, you may confirm that everything is fine with an IIO....

Thanks for your response. I filed 485 at VSC. But I have done my FP in Chicago. So which FBI Tel # I have to call to check about my fp approvals ? Can you give Tel # to call FBI ? Thanks - srn

Guys I am in the same boat. RD-ND 08/00 EB2 Others FP NOV/00. The AVM says that my file cannot be found. Sounds freaky.
By the way here is the tele # for FBI that i used. 3046255590.

Things are really not looking good the way INS is processing 485 at VSC. Any ideas when we should see approvals for our group.

My colleage had the same problem with the AVM system (File not found).
However, he kept receiving what he expected, RFE, etc.

Yesterday, he received his approval notice. AVM still says file not found. Don\'t trust that stupid machine. You\'ll be fine!

Cheer~

My guess is, it may take one more year. assume INS started Oct 99 cases in Jan 2001 and assume INS takes one month to process all the cases it received in one month, so 11 more months to process Aug 00 cases. Ofcourse things don\'t work this way, it depends on how many cases INS has and what are the priorities for INS etc., and OUR LUCK
