File allowed in Consulate office ???

Hi friends,
I am going for visa stamping at mumbai consulate in near future.

One of my friend told me that Consulate office at mumbai allows only transperant files.
Well, if I have non-transperant clothed file then, would the dont allow me???

pls tell me your experience.

I went for my visa stamping in mumbai recently with 2 big brown files in a plastic bag,,, nobody asked a qs...qs is of security there.
