Should I FIle AC21 or no ?

I worked for company A from 02/2002 to 03/2005, they sponsored my GC, I joined company B on H1 in 2005 with the understanding with company A they will continue my GC process, My labor and i-140 got approved with compnay A after joining company B. I am still working with Company B on H1.

Now If i want to stay with company B, do i need to file AC21, as I am not working for GC sponsoring company at this time and aleady working for company B.
I read some where that if your GC is for future employment you dont need to file AC21, is it true ?

Its been more than 6 months since i filed for i485 and i140 is also approved with previous employer.

Labor - Filed :Nov/2002, Approved: 04/2005.
i140 - Filed : 05/2005, Approved: 08/2006
i-485 Applied: 06/2007.. Still pending.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your Response TheRealCanadian

There is a chance of sponsoring company getting sold or getting merged with another company.
In that case I just wanted to file AC21 to be on the safe side.

My confusion is,
In my case where GC is for future employment, am I eligible to AC21, I am not working for sponsoring company at present.

or you can only file AC21, if you are working for sponsoring compnay and wants to leave after 180 of i485 ?

Appreciate your help

You are allowed to use AC21 from future employer to current employer. Matter of fact, it would be in your favor. I am doing the same.

Can you explain the process to use AC21. What documents to be sent and shoud I send it the SC where my AOS is pending. I just changed jobs.Have approved 140 and GC waiting for 7 years. Thanks
