I have a few questions:

How do I check the online status of a case number that starts with NBC* (instead of LIN or EAC)?

Can I know from the status after different stages - Like Received FP, Got FP clearance from FBI, Interview letter sent etc

You check it the same way as with LIN or EAC. I don't think they're very good at updating the online system with the stages of your process, so I wouldn't even bother with that.
 
Thanks. It keeps saying case not found. I tried with NBC* followed by numbers and without *. Nothing seems to work.

Are they then behind in getting it to the online system?
 
If I call them in the 1-800 number will they give me the status?
Also what are the different status the case goes through that the website reports?
 
They will tell you whatever is in their system, as in, "case received and pending", more than likely. Generally speaking most, if not all, cases will have "case received and pending" and then... nothing.
 
You'll need to be a little more patient since you only applied 3 weeks ago.
Give it at least 3 months after your FP to start inquiring about your case.
