Female from India: Marrying a GC holder

I am female from india in visiting USA. I am trying to settle down. But my fiancee has a green card. What implication to marry GC holder? Will I get a work permit? Will I be able to go to school if I want? Will it take a very long time for my GC to be granted.

This is great forum and I need you kind help.
