I\'d like to see if we can get more information from our Legal Department to be posted on our web-site. Can some of you guys give me an idea of what kind of information we\'d like to see ? We can see if we can have them post statistics on our web-site about approval levels which might help us to analyze what is happening. Now, remember, no bitching. Just tell me what kind of information we\'d like to see and I\'ll try to approach someone at the Legal Department to see if we can have that information posted.

:-) my dream is the situation when every movement in your case will be reflected ... for example on your "In-Time" page... in any case - count me in...

I like : deejjjaaaa\'s idea. That way information will remain private, yet you know all progress to your case. It will also be helpful if LD can provide some time frames within which work from our end will be completed. Like timeframe between employee send necessary info to LD to LD sending it to INS. Time frame for replying to RFE\'s etc. Also general statistics like how many 485 applications are filed ( for every month - like 100 485s applied in June 2001) how many of them got approved, how many has RFEs. These are general info that can be put on Immigration site.

Don\'t bother legal so much that one full time guy is needed for these matters. If that is the case then you will get nothing.
I would appreciate if they could post a few statistics along with the employee be able to access his accurate information and a general guidelines as to how much time it takes.

I know in the past our company has done lot of good things with regard to immigration. At the same time, there are some major goof-ups too. e.g. not filing amended I-140 immediately after the company restructuring....but hey we all goof.
The company can definitely do better on info-sharing. Here are my suggestions -
1. a weekly update on how many Labor/I-140/I-485/RFE approvals etc.

2. Company should insist on our lawyers to follow-up on our cases since we pay a lot of money to them. If need be and if allowed they should visit VSC personally for very old cases like filed in 1996.

3. Any documentation received from lawyers typically gets stuck in the portfolio companies so the legal dept should work closely with the HR detps to ensure that documents reach consultants in a timely fashion.

Bottomline, all people involved in the process should understand there may be too many I-485s/I-140s for the home office but for every consultant there is only one which is his/hers.

I\'d like to see statistics on how often an attorney retained by Igate really follows up with the INS on each of our cases. Right now, unless specifically asked by Igate to do so, I believe it is not at all ..

I\'d also like to know from the Legal Department what is being done to address inordinate delays in processing by the INS, from time to time.

Also, without mentioning names, I\'d like to see stats of approval cases like how many \'Engineers\' were approved, how many MCA\'s, how many Masters , how many Bachelors. I am beginning to think that there\'s a direct bearing to the processing time of the INS to this criteria.

>> for very old cases like filed in 1996.

the only reason for delays in those cases - is not in place anymore... AC21 regulations are out...

>> typically gets stuck in the portfolio companies

lawyers (like C&G for example) are sending papers pretty fast... I got some of my papers like FP notices with FedEx overnight from them... ESC is also sending papers pretty fast right now... I do not think it is a big issue... also I know that RFEs are handled fast and I did not ever hear about any failure...

deejjjaaaa, in your message you state that \'the only reason for delays in those cases - is not in place anymore - AC 21 regulations are out ...\', well, explain why my case is being delayed while others are being approved ( left right and center ) !! Guess the IIO are using all \'96 related files to elevate themselves on their chairs so that they can reach their keyboards :-)

well, I guess VSC has certain capacity and if they have 10000 cases to approve - they simply can\'t do this in one day - plus I bet they are still trying to follow some per country quotas... I mean they did not stop processing "others" to clean completely all pending cases from India & China...

So many good suggestions. I am sure LD will not be able to fulfil most of them even if they want to. LD should be able to post statistics once a week. That will be encouraging for waiters. LD can ask lawyer to follow up on very old PD 96 and early 97 cases.
