As many of you on this board, I am trying to apply for my EAD and AP renewal by myself at Vermont Service Center. I see some conflicting posts on this forum. Can somebody help?

1. One of the posts said that we cannot send a personal checks any more, just Money orders or cashier checks: The "sub-office" in St. Albans, VT says this on their web page (http://www.immigration.gov/graphics/fieldoffices/fees.htm). But the VSC (also in St. Albans, VT) does not say this on their web page (http://www.immigration.gov/graphics/fieldoffices/scnational/index.htm#C)
 Can we send personal checks?

2. The check should be made out to BCIS: Though the 'sub-office' says explicitly that they require this, the VSC web page does not say this.
 Should we make out the check/money order to BCIS or INS?

Appreciate your answers? Anybody who sent their applications recently, please advise.

Thanks.

If you are sending the EAD/AP to VSC then why should you follow he sub-office instructions? Dont you know each BCIS office has a different policy about these kind of things?

personal checks are accepted and make the check out to BCIS. The law has been passed and it is BCIS now- no doubt.:o
