Fee Waiver

Has anyone successfully applied for the fee waiver for the n-400? What documents did you send? What documents did they ask for?

You have to write a letter with N-400 requesting a fee waiver and show proof that your household income for past year falls below poverty limit and that you qualify for Medicaid or food stamps in the last 6 months.

Hi. Thanks for replying. Would it negatively impact my application if I do show that I have been on Medicaid or food stamps?

Will applying for the fee waiver delay my application?

As I've answered in your other post, medicaid does not affect your eligibility.
However, the fee waiver request may delay your case a little since they have to verify the evidence before granting the fee waiver.
