Quick question. To submit the fee on the I 485 can I send in a normal check. I am not sure if it needs to be a cashier check...

you can send a money order too.

I sent personal checks. They were easier to track and they got accepted no problem.

Y Singh please see the instructions to form 130, 1485. It says that personal checks are accepted; it even tell you how USCIS will cash them through your bank.
